Please join Nonprofit New York and Philanthropy New York members in a workshop on grant reporting as part of the 2023 Nonprofit New York Annual Conference.
As NYC nonprofits and philanthropic institutions work together to create a more equitable city, the deeply rooted power differential between funders and their grantees can be an obstacle. In this conversation, we will consider grant reporting as one place different agendas play out. Come hear how funders are adapting their approaches to reporting and how nonprofits are responding to multiple funder reporting requirements. The panel conversation will be followed by a brainstorm between the audience of nonprofit leaders and funders who will work together to dream up new strategies and models of grant reporting to address their respective and mutual needs.

- New ways in which funders are practicing shifting power in a more trust-based way, as it relates to grant reporting
- Real life stories from nonprofits who are navigating the power differentials between themselves and their funders, as well as building new trust-based relationships with funders
- New strategies or models of grant reporting that can address the needs of both grantees and funders
- How to join a funders working group that has agreed to pilot recommendations that will come out of this session and report back at next year's NPNY convening
