*This program is hosted by our partner, Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR), who has extended an invitation to PNY members.*

As immigrant and refugee families and communities face escalating enforcement activities and attacks on immigrant-serving organizations, community foundations across the country — from Los Angeles to Little Rock, Chicago, and Memphis — have stepped up as critical responders and partners. GCIR's robust network of community foundations is uniquely positioned to support the evolving needs of these communities.

To meet this moment, these foundations have gone beyond traditional grant funding to play a broader, more coordinated role. They have served as essential conveners, bringing philanthropy together to align resources and coordinate strategies. By leveraging discretionary funding, mobilizing donor advised funds, deploying impact investment strategies, and embracing advocacy, they are translating that coordination into action.

In light of these efforts, our upcoming Network Huddle will focus on community foundations. If you are part of a community foundation, we invite you to join this special opportunity to connect with other community foundation peers for a candid conversation about the needs and barriers complicating the work of community foundations, how peer foundations can support each other and what GCIR can do to offer resources and assistance.

We hope that you join this first gathering for community foundation members and lend your voice as we build together.
