Philanthropy New York (PNY) is excited to host a social event designed to support those completing internships and fellowships at foundations in the New York metro area. We encourage staff to attend alongside their interns and fellows to strengthen mentorship, deepen engagement, and support early-career / emerging professionals as they explore pathways in philanthropy.
During this networking event, interns and fellows will have an opportunity to:
- Connect with their peers across various institutions and expand their professional networks
- Engage with seasoned philanthropic professionals who can offer insights into the career paths and opportunities within the sector.
- Demystify the field of philanthropy by gaining an understanding of the diverse roles, responsibilities, and pathways for professional growth.
For HR leaders and staff, this program supports:
- Talent development and retention by enhancing the intern and fellow experience
- Staff engagement and mentorship by offering a space to connect with interns and fellows
- Building a talent pipeline by highlighting the varied career paths in philanthropy
This session will not include
- Specific job leads
- Referrals
- Individual interviews with contacts within the field
Who should attend?
All interested interns, fellows, and full-time staff at member foundation organizations. What to expect: happy hour and networking. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided by our host, the Henry Luce Foundation.
