And addressing them is proving to be an overlooked key to basic health, educational achievement, and economic security.
Yet doing “gender transformative” giving that challenges rigid gender norms requires posing a different set of questions for ourselves and our organizations.
Join your fellow funders for an open, engaging discussion of the importance of addressing gender norms and implications in a safe environment where a variety of approaches and scenarios will be explored. Learn the basic terms, concepts, rationale, and research behind “gender transformative” giving and how it can improve programs and philanthropic efficacy. Participants will be provided with concrete, easy-to-apply ideas on integrating a gender norms focus into their own grantmaking. Program materials will be provided.
