The retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy, and subsequent nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, have far-reaching implications that could negatively affect all the issues we most care about, such as voting rights (including partisan gerrymandering), money in politics, executive power issues, partisan the environment, access to reproductive health, women’s and LGBTQ rights, and more. The last Supreme Court nomination secured a conservative seat with a new conservative justice; this one could tip the balance for the next 30-40 years. But while the stakes are high, this is not a lost cause and there are opportunities for c3 funders to make a difference.
