After-School All-Stars has received a $4 million grant from the New York Life Foundation to expand its services in six U.S. cities, reports Philanthropy News Digest.
A four-year grant from the New York Life Foundation will build the National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement's capacity to provide bereavement resources in schools, reports Philanthropy News Digest.
PND reported that the MetLife Foundation and Sesame Workshop have announced a five-year, $20 million partnership to improve financial knowledge and strategies among low- and moderate-income families around the world.

The Board of the Foundation for Child Development (FCD) announced that Deborah A. Phillips, Ph.D., has resigned as President of the Foundation. Dr. Phillips will be returning to her faculty position at Georgetown University.
The $19.78 million grant from Atlantic to the Irish state agency Pobal will be used to support children at risk of poverty within the mainstream education and child care systems.
