Group of 11 Leading Philanthropies Announce Steps to Expand Opportunities for Young Men of Color
 
[The Atlantic Philanthropies, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Ford Foundation, Nathan Cummings Foundation, Open Society Foundations] Eleven of the nation’s leading philanthropies have announced a bold plan of action to maximize the potential of the private sector to improve life outcomes for America’s boys and young men of color.
 
“A Time for Action: Mobilizing Philanthropic Support for Boys and Young Men of Color” outlines recommendations for coordinated action and funding across the public and private sector to dismantle barriers and create opportunities for young men of color.
 
The 11 foundations that issued the report are: the Annie E. Casey Foundation, The Atlantic Philanthropies, Bloomberg Philanthropies, The California Endowment, Ford Foundation, John S. and James L.
