Please join us to explore the intersection between racial injustice and climate change through the Just Transition framework. We will explore the impact of investments in frontline leadership and how they’re driving significant climate solutions across the US.
Just Transition is a vision-led, unifying and place-based set of principles, processes, and practices that build economic and political power to shift from an extractive economy to a regenerative economy.
We recognize that climate change is the result of a legacy of extraction, of colonialism, and of slavery and that there is great cost in not approaching this work through a racial lens.

This conversation will provide space for discussion around what’s possible when we center racial justice in our work as well as on the ground implementation of frontline-led climate solutions.

What will you learn?

  • Hearing more about the Just Transition framework
  • Exploring how race is a key determinant in climate impact
  •  Exploring how to support grassroots efforts in climate justice
  •  Understanding the strategic and ethical imperatives of environmental equity and the cost of not acting

Who should attend?

All interested funders in environmental grantmaking, public policy, and related roles. What to expect: panel discussion followed by Q&A.
