At this FAN meeting, Amanda Fugazy walked attendees through the new risks facing nonprofits by misclassifying employees – in particular, consultants, volunteers, and interns. Both the IRS and the Department of Labor are undertaking efforts to identify cases of misclassification in order to recoup unpaid taxes.
