Gabriel Morales has joined the Citi Foundation’s staff as a Project Manager. He is responsible for helping execute its employee engagement strategy and is working to broaden the Foundation’s visibility with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Prior to joining the Citi Foundation, Morales worked with the Family Services Coordinator team at the NYC Mayor’s Office on the Young Men’s Initiative, a comprehensive multi-agency effort to improve outcomes in education, employment, justice and health for black and Latino young men in New York City. He helped establish the Initiative’s coordinated digital communications strategy and assisted with program implementation.
Before moving to the Mayor’s Office, Morales worked at Philanthropy New York as a Professional Education Assistant, and helped plan and manage programs and events.
Morales received his Master of Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University. Prior to returning to graduate school, he was a journalist in Southern California and Texas. He also worked in education at the charter management organization for High Tech High, a prominent group of charter schools in San Diego County. Morales holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
