The peacebuilding field continues to wrestle with questions of impact -how do we know that peacebuilding programs work? How do we measure the cumulative effect of programs in a given conflict area? Can we borrow M & E methodologies from other fields, or do we need to design tools very specific to the needs of peacebuilding interventions?
This webinar will give a 30,000 foot overview of the state of the evaluation field in peacebuilding, how funders can support better learning and impact in their grantmaking, and how both funders and grantees can begin to think about systemic impact. Melanie Greenberg, President and CEO of the Alliance for Peacebuilding (and a former funder) will speak about the experience of AfP's Peacebuilding Evaluation Consortium, and the joys, monsters and opportunities of building a strong toolbox for peacebuilding evaluation.
