The world is shifting. Periods of disruption also create moments of extraordinary possibility. For those prepared to act with courage and coordination, this is a rare opportunity to help shape a more just, democratic and hopeful future.
$90 billion has been frozen or withdrawn from some of the world’s most vulnerable communities (Humanity United). Data shows aid to the Global South fell by an unprecedented 23.1% in real terms in 2025, putting millions of lives at risk (OECD, Eurodad). Democratic norms are being dismantled in real time, while civil society — including the grassroots groups already building alternative economic models, climate solutions, mutual aid and collective care strategies — is being asked to do more and more with little or no sustained funding. And yet the resources to change this exists. Many of them are already held by people who care deeply and want to act. The missing ingredient is not money, but the coordination, courage and infrastructure needed to move resources and support quickly and effectively to the movements already doing the work.
That is exactly what this day is designed to create.
Crisis to Solutions is a rare, invitation-only gathering of progressive philanthropists, foundations, wealth holders, and networks — convened by some of the most respected voices in philanthropy as well as emergent grassroots groups: WINGS, EDGE Funders Alliance, Action for Sustainable Development, Human Rights Funders Network and The Collective. This is not a conference. There are no passive audiences, no panels. This is a live design space — urgent, intimate, and action-focused — where the people in the room build something together.
What will you learn?
You will hear directly from grassroots movements and frontline partners about what is working and what they actually need. You will explore bold innovations in pooled funding, rapid redistribution, and participatory mechanisms that are already being tested around the world. You will work alongside peers who share your values and your sense of urgency — and you will leave not with a report or a set of recommendations, but with real commitments, aligned capital, and your place in a coalition that is already in motion.
For those willing to act, this is one of the most significant opportunities in generations to shift the direction of travel. A more just, hopeful and powerful future is still within reach — but the window is narrow, and what happens next will depend on whether people like us choose to build it together.
Who should attend?
This gathering is for: progressive philanthropists and foundations · high-net-worth individuals · philanthropy networks · wealth managers · spend-down funds · foundations · all wealth holders whose resources could be mobilised for the movements this moment needs.
