In the world of philanthropy, our ability to drive change often relies less on our titles and more on our ability to move others toward a shared vision. Whether you are navigating internal organizational shifts or working with external grantees and partners, mastering the art of "leading from the middle" is essential.

This interactive session breaks down the complex social dynamics of persuasion into a practical, step-by-step recipe for influence. Using a unique culinary framework, we will explore how to build the foundation of trust and blend the necessary ingredients of rapport and credibility to achieve institutional goals—without the need for formal authority.

What will you learn?

  • How to establish and maintain "professional flavor"—the trust and credibility that serve as the base for all influence

  • Techniques for building authentic rapport with diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment

  • Identifying and utilizing "persuasion levers" to move projects forward and overcome resistance

  • How to present ideas in a way that is "palatable" and persuasive to senior leadership and board members
