Grantmaking requires more than generosity. It requires attention to power, accountability, context, and consequence. The roundtable discussion, cohosted by NEID Global and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, in collaboration with Philanthropy New York, will explore how ethics can meaningfully inform international grantmaking decisions. Drawing on real-world experiences, participating philanthropies will work through ethical dimensions of practice and leave with sharper tools for assessing and navigating tradeoffs in their own philanthropy.

Join this roundtable discussion with Joel H. Rosenthal, President, Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. As a nonprofit leader, scholar, and teacher he works to empower ethical action, with a particular focus on U.S. foreign policy, issues of war and peace, human rights, and pluralism.
