The Staten Island Foundation Welcomes New Staff Members
In late October, the Board Directors and staff of The Staten Island Foundation congratulated Marie Payne on her retirement and thanked her for her devoted service. Marie had served as Grants Manager for over twenty years. She had seen the Foundation through many periods of growth and change, lending her skills with technology in developing online applications, managing our website and database, organizing our annual audits, and hundreds of other details that come up in the daily life of the Foundation. We were sorry to say goodbye and know she will be very busy with her fourteen (or is it fifteen?!) grandchildren.
At the same time, we welcomed two new staff members in part-time positions that within the month, have become important members of our team. We hope you will join us in getting to know Tamika Monlouis and Christina Kuhn who will help the Foundation continue our mission to improve the quality of life on Staten Island.
Tamika Monlouis is our new Office Manager. Tamika received her Bachelor’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a major in Forensic Psychology and Counseling. Tamika also received her Masters’ degree in Healthcare Administration. Ms. Monlouis has extensive experience working in the mental health field, pharmacy operations, finance, and hospital leadership. Tamika is responsible for the general operation of the Foundation’s office and our financial record keeping. Tamika has lived on Staten Island for over twenty years. Christina Kuhn is our Grants Coordinator that supports our grantmaking processes and assists with analyzing the results of our grantmaking. Originally from Brooklyn, Christina presently lives in Grant City with her family. Ms. Kuhn received her Bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College. Christina’s background is with NYC Park Conservancies, and she served as the Director of Rentals and Event Planning with the Prospect Park Alliance and with the Greenbelt Conservancy here on Staten Island.
