Jennifer Correa Joins The Pinkerton Foundation as Associate Program Officer

Jennifer Correa has joined the staff of The Pinkerton Foundation, which supports community-based programs for children, youth, and families in economically disadvantaged areas in New York City, as an Associate Program Officer. Prior to joining the foundation, Correa worked for over thirteen years at the New York Hall of Science. She initially began as a youth participant and eventually became the Senior Manager of the Science Career Ladder, a youth development and employment program for NYC high school and college students. Participants, known as Explainers, are trained to interact with visitors at hands-on exhibits, lead demonstrations and activities, and assist with a variety of educational programs. She initially joined the Science Career Ladder as a summer intern from a local high school for pregnant and parenting teens. While climbing the Science Career Ladder program, Correa earned her B.A. from Queens College in Media Studies and a Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College. Having been a grantee of The Pinkerton Foundation, she enthusiastically enters the field recognizing the impact philanthropy can have in the field of STEM education and youth development.
