Jamie Merisotis Becomes Council on Foundations' Board Chair
The Council on Foundations today announced that Lumina Foundation President and CEO Jamie Merisotis has assumed the role of Chair of the Board of Directors. Merisotis was elected in November 2018, and began his term as Board Chair at the Council’s Leading Together 2019 conference. He succeeds Javier Soto, who has served as Chair since 2017 and will remain on the board. Merisotis previously served as Board Vice Chair for two years.

Since 2008, Jamie Merisotis has led Lumina, an independent, private foundation that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all.
