The F.B. Heron Foundation recently welcomed new members to their team.
Amy Orr joined Heron as a Capital Deployment Analyst after graduating from The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs. She brings 5 years of experience working as a research analyst at the investment consulting firm Rogerscasey. Orr’s primary responsibility on the Capital Deployment team is conducting top-down research to set the context for specific investment deals. Since joining Heron, she has also played a pivotal role in evaluating the mission impact of many of Heron’s investments in large public companies.
Deirdre Hess serves Heron as Content Editor and Communications Strategist, bringing to bear her experiences raising awareness and funds to fight human trafficking with the Not For Sale Campaign, and developing communications for special situations such as mergers and acquisitions and proxy fights with Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher.
Janeen Rabinowitz, is Heron’s Director of Operations & Administration. Rabinowitz brings over 10 years of operations and program management experience to Heron, primarily on the ground floor of start-ups that focused on supplemental education, and advertising technology.
Preeti Bhattacharji is currently an MBA student at Columbia University and working part-time with Heron as their Impact Investing Graduate Fellow, assisting their Capital Deployment team with research and work on their pipeline. She has also worked at the Council on Foreign Relations and interned for ImpactAssets.
Joanna Rutter, a recent graduate of Grove City College with a background in nonprofit communication, is now interning for Heron on their communications team providing support in moving their influence strategy forward. She helps manage their social media platforms and collects content for their blog.
Scott Kincaid, previously an investment analyst at GE Capital, Davidson Kempner Capital Management, and J.P. Morgan, is helping to build Heron’s new financial planning model on a consultant basis. He will be starting his MBA with a focus on social entrepreneurship at Oxford University this fall.
Mohammad Nasim comes to Heron with a background that marries computer science with business intelligence. He is an expert in Tableau which will improve Heron’s data visualization and presentation/analysis of financial information.
