As funders we talk a lot about inclusive philanthropy. But how often these days do we get to experience – from the grantee perspective – what inclusion looks and feels like?

If you’re tired of sitting behind your desk evaluating grant proposals, join us for a fun, hands on experience of inclusivity in action. We’ll all roll up our sleeves and create adaptive design materials and partake in inclusive gaming as we discuss ways to break down barriers and make our grantmaking, no matter our issue area, more accessible to people with disabilities. We’ll also hear from non-disability funder colleagues who’ve made simple refinements that have dramatically broadened their capacity for impact across a range of grantmaking portfolios. There will be time to ask questions and share your own ideas too.

We’re sure you’ll agree: with almost 40 million Americans (American Community Survey 2014) and an estimated 1 billion people globally (World Bank 2017) experiencing some form of disability, it’s time to make sure everyone can benefit from our grantmaking.

Explore
  • How to widen the lens of inclusion across your grantmaking
  • Simple yet powerful tools for increasing access and inclusion
  • Cost-effective approaches that ensure people with disabilities benefit from your philanthropy
