Each year, Philanthropy New York partners with the Council on Foundations and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers for the annual Grantmakers Salary and Benefits Survey. This survey collects data on compensation and benefits costs across community, private, and public foundations.
We hope you will take the time to participate in the survey this year. Members working together can ensure the best value for everyone's participation.
Philanthropy New York will use the Council’s online benchmarking tool to generate customized reports for our members once the data is available in early fall.
In addition, all online survey respondents will receive a PDF copy of the full 2013 report and early access to a compensation summary for their foundation type with data on 34 positions access to online benchmarking, including customized reports on a choice of peer groups
The survey deadline is July 31, 2013.
Participate in the Survey
Community, private, public, and operating foundations with paid staff are eligible for participation. Because the survey is conducted at an organizational level, you will need to designate an appropriate staff person as the survey contact. To request a user account, the survey contact should email the Council on Foundations Research Department at resrchdept@cof.org. This email should include the contact’s name, title, and phone number plus your organization’s name, type, and address. Once an account has been established, the survey contact will receive a survey invitation by email with their personal log-in information and a link to the survey.
The Council continues to conduct major surveys in partnership with the Foundation Center, and your primary contact will be a Foundation Center staff person who will answer questions about the survey and user accounts. The Grantmakers Salary and Benefits Survey remains an initiative of the Council, and the data confidentiality and use policies are unchanged.
