Philanthropy New York Welcomes Stephany Fong as Director of Communications

Philanthropy New York is thrilled to welcome Stephany Fong as PNY’s new Director of Communications. 

In this role, Stephany will lead external communications efforts to strengthen Philanthropy New York’s engagement with its members, craft messaging that amplifies and aligns with PNY’s vision, mission, and values, and build the organization’s communications capacity. Stephany brings to the role expertise in communications strategy, digital engagement, and utilizing storytelling to deepen understanding of racial and health disparities. 

With over a decade of experience, Stephany has led communications at both local and international organizations. Most recently, she served as North America Communications Manager at WomenLift Health, collaborating with global teams to elevate leadership perspectives and bolster gender equity in health systems. In her prior role at the New York Health Foundation, she supported digital content, media, and grantee impact storytelling while also bringing a racial equity lens to the organization's communications efforts. She is a graduate of UC San Diego and Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health.

Stephany will be working with PNY members to connect, share, and amplify our members' leadership, highlight their impact, and elevate learnings to influence the field.
