Beeta Jahedi Joins The Tow Foundation As Director Of Strategy And Communications
The Tow Foundation is pleased to announce that Beeta Jahedi has joined its team as the Director of Strategy and Communications.
In this newly created role, Beeta will focus on amplifying the visibility of the Foundation’s work to address critical social issues in the areas of justice reform, medical innovation, higher education, and cultural institutions as well as actively engaging external audiences on solutions. She will also research and implement strategies to accelerate the Foundation’s impact through collaboration, targeted communication, strategic planning, and engagement with external partners in key communities and with the public at large.
“Beeta brings the skills and experience to amplify the Foundation’s visibility and execute our strategic vision. We are excited to have her join our team,” said President and Executive Director Emily Tow Jackson.
Beeta joins the Foundation after serving as the senior director of learning and programs at San Diego Grantmakers. Prior to that position she was a senior program associate in the president’s office at the JPB Foundation and the assistant director of learning services at Philanthropy New York.
Beeta has served as a screening committee member for the Human Rights Watch Film Festival since 2011. She was previously chair of the Junior Board for Girls Inc. of New York City and a co-leader of the NYU Wagner Alumni in Philanthropy group.
She earned her M.P.A. in Public and Nonprofit Management and Administration from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University and her B.A. in Gender Studies from Bard College at Simons Rock, an early college.
