United Hospital Fund's Jim Tallon to Step Down in Second Half of 2017
Jim Tallon has announced that he plans to step down as president of United Hospital Fund in the second half of 2017.
The UHF board has established a Succession Planning Committee, which will be led by Board Chairman J. Barclay Collins II, assisted by Mr. Tallon. The board has retained Korn Ferry to conduct the search.
“We will have plenty of opportunity to reflect on my time in this role, but for the year-plus ahead, there is a lot of work that I want to see through to fruition,” said Mr. Tallon. “When I hand the reins over to a successor, there are many more UHF accomplishments I hope we will have achieved.”
“Jim is a supremely effective leader bringing to bear an extraordinary range of talents, and he has greatly benefited the growth and success of UHF,” said Mr. Collins. “We look forward to his continued leadership and to the search for his successor. We know well that we cannot replace Jim, but I am confident we will find another exceptional person to build on Jim’s and UHF’s impressive work to build a more effective health care system for every New Yorker.”
