Our February 14th members briefing—sponsored by the Daphne Foundation, the New York Foundation, the North Star Fund, the Open Society Foundations, the Proteus Fund, and the Trinity Church Parish Grants Program—provided our members with an opportunity to focus on the ways that foundations can promote tolerance and understanding for Muslim Americans in New York City and become better informed about the issues facing Muslim communities in our city and beyond.
We are very pleased to have Michael Seltzer, Trustee at EMpower-The Emerging Markets Foundation, past President of Philanthropy New York, and one of the main organizers of this program, provide us with a recap and share his thoughts.
