Rockefeller’s Sarah Geisenheimer to Step in for Chen at Fund for Public Schools

 

Sarah Geisenheimer, of the Rockefeller Foundation, will replace Iris Chen, executive director of the NYC Department of Education’s private fundraising arm, who resigned earlier this week. 

 

Peter Madonia, chief operating officer of the Rockefeller Foundation, praised Geisenheimer in a statement:

 

“I am confident that Sarah will do a great job leading the Fund for Public Schools on an interim basis. At the Rockefeller Foundation, she worked closely with the Executive Team to develop and implement strategy and helped to advise and manage the day-today operations of the Foundation which has prepared her well to manage an organization.”
