The Robert Sterling Clark Foundation is pleased to announce that Philip Li has been elected to its Board of Directors. Li is the Chief Administrative Officer of The Century Foundation, a progressive think tank that focuses on issues of equality and opportunity in the United States, and how American values can best be sustained and advanced in a world of more diffuse power.

Prior to joining Century, Li helped launch the Brooklyn Community Foundation by converting it from a private philanthropic institution to a public charity. He also served as the Executive Director of the Coro New York Leadership Center, a nonprofit that provides, develops and trains tomorrow’s civic leaders, and as Senior Managing Director at Changing Our World, overseeing its philanthropic services group. He began his career in the private sector, working at Merrill Lynch International and Moody’s Investors Service.

Li currently serves on the boards of Philanthropy New York, the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation and Degrees of Change, which provides leadership training and full college scholarships for young people in the Pacific Northwest. He is a trustee of the Mary J. Hutchins Foundation and the Bulova Stetson Fund. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Li has a B.A. in Economics and Biology and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School in Finance and Strategic Planning.
