The Stella and Charles Guttman Foundation is pleased to welcome Patricia L. Francy and Susan Butler Plum to the Board of Directors.
Patricia Francy served as University Treasurer and Controller at Columbia University in the City of New York, culminating a distinguished career in a number of finance and operations roles at the University. Prior to joining the Guttman Foundation Board, Francy was Chair of the Board at the Guttman Breast Diagnostic Institute, an innovative breast cancer screening facility founded in 1968 with a grant from Stella and Charles Guttman. Francy has also served on a number of nonprofit boards, including Outward Bound USA, Junior Achievement USA and the Children’s Tumor Foundation, and on numerous foundation boards, including the Matheson Foundation and the Siebert Foundation.
Susan Butler Plum is the founding Director of the Skadden Fellowship Foundation, which awards two-year fellowships to 25 public interest attorneys per year. Prior to joining Skadden, Butler Plum was the Director of the Botwinick-Wolfensohn Foundation and Program Director of the Booth Ferris Foundation. She also was the Associate Director for the Environmental Defense Fund. She is a member of the selection committee of the Frederick P. Rose Architectural Fellowship, the Advisory Board of The Kathryn A. McDonald Education Advocacy Project at the Legal Aid Society of New York, the International Advisory Council of the Harvard School of Public Health AIDS Initiative as well as the Harvard Law School Venture Fund Advisory Group.
