The New York Community Trust is proud to announce three staff promotions to Program Director:
Irfan Hasan is responsible for our Health and Behavioral Health grants in our Healthy Lives area; Kerry McCarthy covers Arts and Culture and Historic Preservation in our Thriving Communities program; and Shawn Morehead covers Education and Human Justice in our Promising Futures program.
Michele Kumi Baer has been hired as a new program associate working in the Thriving Communities program and staffing the NYC Cultural Agenda Fund. Michele comes from Dance/NYC where she served as equity and inclusion coordinator. Prior employment includes roles at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the Global Fund for Women. Michele has a bachelor’s degree from Brown in development studies and an MA in arts administration from Columbia's Teacher's College. She is a dancer who also volunteers with the NYC Young Feminist Giving Circle.
