New York Women's Foundation Appoints Patricia Eng Vice President of Programs
The New York Women’s Foundation announced that Patricia M. Eng joined The Foundation as Vice President of Programs on June 2, 2014.
Patricia comes to The Foundation with a wealth of knowledge and experience, both from community-based work, as well as from philanthropy, as a grant maker in the areas of economic justice, women’s health and ending violence.
Most recently, Patricia was Director of Programs at Bolder Giving, where she helped launch the first nationally coordinated on-line fundraising day in support of LGBTQ communities across the country From 2008 until 2013 she was Vice President for Grants and Capacity Building at the MS. Foundation for Women. Patricia also served as Senior Vice President of Programs at Safe Horizon from 2005 – 2007, overseeing a range of programs, including 8 shelters. Prior to working at Safe Horizon, Patricia was the founder and executive director of the New York Asian Women’s Center, the first organization addressing violence against Asian women on the East Coast, and a past grantee partner of The New York Women’s Foundation.
Patricia is a past Board member of The New York Women’s Foundation. Patricia received her B.A. with honors from Princeton University and a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work.
