Kristen Woolf joins EMpower - The Emerging Markets Foundation as Vice President of Programs

Kristen Woolf has joined EMpower – The Emerging Markets Foundation as Vice President of Programs.


In this role, Kristen will oversee all of EMpower’s grantmaking work and programmatic activity in fifteen countries, and will contribute significant strategic management expertise. Kristen’s professional experience includes eighteen years of developing optimal ways to channel resources to where they matter most, with a strong focus on at-risk adolescent girls and young people.


Prior to EMpower, Kristen held several senior leadership positions, overseeing global initiatives and programmatic portfolios across 14 countries in North America, Asia and Africa. In consulting and strategic planning roles, she has worked with Novo Foundation, Social Development Direct, the Malala Fund, The Population Council, The British Asian Trust, and Glamour/Condé Nast.
