Jean and Louis Dreyfus Foundation Announces Leadership Transition

The Board of Trustees of the Jean and Louis Dreyfus Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Keuskamp to the position of Executive Director, of the Foundation effective April 1st, 2021. Jessica’s appointment follows the death of Edmée Firth, the Foundation’s beloved Executive Director of thirty years, who died in March 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

Jessica Keuskamp joined the Jean and Louis Dreyfus Foundation as a Program Officer in 2001 and was promoted to Program Director in 2007. She previously worked at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Jewish Museum, NY; and at the Art Department at Hunter College, NY. Jessica also recently served as Administrator/Special Events Coordinator for the International Friends of the Festival of Aix-en-Provence.

Born in Amsterdam, and raised in the Bronx and on Long Island, NY, Jessica holds a B.A. in Art History from Boston University and has completed all coursework toward an M.A. in Art History from Hunter College (ABT). Her interest in the arts extends beyond her work in philanthropy; she is herself a songwriter, singer and visual artist in many genres. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and two children.

Nicholas Firth, President of the Jean and Louis Dreyfus Foundation commented: “We are delighted to appoint Jessica Keuskamp to the position of Executive Director. Having worked side by side with Edmée Firth for two decades, we are confident that Jessica will successfully carry out the Dreyfus Foundation’s mission to assist underserved New Yorkers through programs in Aging, and Social Services and find innovative ways of supporting Arts, and Education organizations.”
