James Rothkopf Elected to Board of Directors of FJC – A Foundation of Philanthropic Funds

A Foundation of Philanthropic Funds announced that James (Jim) Rothkopf of Stamford, CT, a prominent finance executive, has been elected to its Board of Directors.  FJC manages one of the nation’s largest Donor Advised Funds, as well as Fiscal Sponsorship Programs and a non-profit Agency Loan Program.   FJC has over $280 million in assets under management and is headquartered in New York City.   FJC is a 501c(3) public charity whose mission is advancing donors’ charitable goals and financial planning through creative and innovative solutions.

Jim Rothkopf is a CPA and a senior financial and operating executive with over 25 years' experience at major philanthropic organizations working domestically and internationally with annual revenues of $50 to $100 million. He has been responsible for the investments of large endowments as well as income distributions for over 1,700 individual endowments; Jim has a deep understanding of accounting policies and internal controls, employee benefits including 403b plans, fund raising and planned giving programs; Form 990 filings, legal agreements and banking relationships. Jim also has a strong background working with privately held middle market companies.

Jim most recently held senior financial and operating positions — including CFO at the American Friends of Hebrew University, CFO of Hadassah, CFO of UJA Federation of New York, Director of Finance and Operations at Peppers & Rodgers Group, CFO of Trinity Packaging Corporation, VP of Finance of Clarkson Industries, VP of Finance and Operations for Esquire's Globe Book Division and a Senior Accountant/Audit position with Arthur Andersen & Company.  Jim Rothkopf received his M.B.A. in Accounting from American University and BA in History from New York University. He is a CPA in New York State.  He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Urological Research Foundation.
