Diana Davenport Announces Retirement From the Commonwealth Fund at the End of 2018
Diana Davenport, Vice President for Administration at the Commonwealth Fund, has announced her plans to retire from the Fund at the end of 2018. Diana has been a very active member of the philanthropic and nonprofit worlds of New York for more than twenty years. In addition to keeping the Fund operating like a Swiss train, she has been responsible for attracting almost all of the impressive staff at the Fund. She likes to say she has a real talent for recruiting. That includes recruiting the staff for the Fund, helping her colleagues at other institutions recruit their staff, helping people find great jobs at other institutions and luring fantastic volunteers to the other organizations she serves. Diana served on the board of Philanthropy New York for 8 years and continues to serve in other capacities. She is also a board member and chairs the Committee on Members for the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York. For many years she was the VP for Volunteer Services for the Wharton Club of New York and now sits on their board. And finally, like many New Yorkers, she is on her coop board and has helped them with their recruiting. So stay tuned for Act 3.
