The Cenutry Foundation Welcomes New Trustees Sonal Shah and Damon Silvers

TCF President Mark Zuckerman is pleased to announce Sonal Shah and Damon Silvers will be joining The Century Foundation board of trustees. Together they bring decades of rich experience in public service, social innovation, and economics to TCF.

Sonal Shah is professor and the founding executive director of the Beeck Center for Social Impact & Innovation at Georgetown University. She was formerly the deputy assistant to the president and founding director of the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation in the Obama administration.

Damon A. Silvers is the director of policy and special counsel for the AFL-CIO and serves on a pro bono basis as a special assistant attorney general for the State of New York. He is also a member of the Investor Advisory Committee of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Treasury Department’s Financial Research Advisory Committee, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Investor Advisory Group.

These new board members will strengthen the Foundation’s research rigour and policy impact, bringing experienced and creative thought leaders to an already distinguished Board of Trustees. With their leadership, TCF is even better positioned to promote new solutions to our nation’s most critical policy challenges.
