The Bernard and Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust Announces New Chief Operating Officer, Maya Jakubowicz

The Bernard and Anne Spitzer Charitable Trust is delighted to announce that Maya Jakubowicz has joined the Trust as its new Chief Operating Officer. She will be a member of the Trust’s management team and is responsible for leading financial, administrative, and reporting functions at the organization.

Maya comes to the Trust from the Office of the Mayor in New York City where she served as the Director for the Mayor’s Office of Administrative Services, overseeing finances, human resources, information technology, and facilities for City Hall. In 2020, she was appointed the Agency Chief Restart Officer, leading COVID-19 emergency and continuation of operations efforts for City Hall. Previously, Maya was the Director of Finance and Operations for The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, a public-private partnership organization working with City agencies, institutional funders, community-based partners, and the private sector to create a stronger and more just city for all New Yorkers. In prior roles, she led operational, financial, and personnel functions for organizations such as Women Make Movies and Montana Artists Agency. Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
