The Atlantic Philanthropies Welcomes Bruce Trachtenberg as Executive Producer and Editor
In his new role, Trachtenberg will work closely with Chief Communications Officer David Morse and Director of Digital Communications Elizabeth Cahill, along with staff across the organization, to help capture compelling stories and share lessons learned that will be useful to funders and grantees. “With Atlantic’s final days on the horizon, our communications efforts are now focused on collecting and presenting stories that can reflect our experience—the how and why of our philanthropy,” said Morse. “We now seek to help grantees, policymakers and other funders understand and learn from our history and methods to help change the trajectories for people, institutions and nations, and it’s our obligation to gather and relay the lessons and stories that have helped make that happen. Given his deep knowledge and experience in foundations and communications, Bruce’s skills will be invaluable in guiding this final phase.”
Trachtenberg has worked as a storyteller, communicator and executive for a range of media companies and nonprofits, including leading foundations, over his long career. Prior to joining Atlantic, Trachtenberg was Executive Director of the Communications Network, Director of Communications at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation and the Wallace Foundation and senior producer for Worth.com.
