Join North Star Fund, Surdna Foundation, and Philanthropy New York for a briefing from the inaugural grantee cohort of the New York Statewide Power Fund, a collaborative fund supporting statewide coalitions centering grassroots groups working together on the most critical issues facing New York.
Organizers will share with us their reflections on the 2025 budget and advocacy process, as well as their longer-term work to build grassroots power across urban, suburban, and rural communities across the state. The Statewide Power Community Funding Committee — including organizers working around New York — will discuss how the fund used a power-shifting process to move resources to emerging and growing coalitions.

This is an in-person event hosted at Surdna Foundation (200 Madison Avenue, between 35th and 36th St). Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the program starts and be prepared to show your ID at the registration table. Space is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.
