Are you or your colleagues searching for ways to dive deeper into grantmaking practice conversations?

Philanthropy New York is pleased to continue our series for programming and programming-related staff, Grantmaking Equity Hour: Deepening Your Practice

Our January 2026 session will dive into embodying change, from Dimple Abichandani's book, A New Era of Philanthropy.

Who should attend?

Members in grantmaking or grantmaking-adjacent roles, e.g., grants management, finance, etc.

What is it?

Each hour-long session will be kicked-off by conversation starters from your grantmaking peers who are eager to support peer-to-peer learning on equity-centered philanthropic practice, followed by open conversations. Examples of topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Approaching your role as a grantmaker with greater power awareness
  • Embedding trust and partnership into the way you approach your work
  • Building accountability practices

What else should you know?

We aim to set a cadence of 3-4 virtual sessions across the year. Stay tuned for upcoming sessions on our program calendar.
