Are you or your colleagues searching for ways to dive deeper into grantmaking practice conversations?
Philanthropy New York is pleased to announce a new series, Grantmaking Equity Hour: Deepening Your Practice, launching in June!
Designed For
This series is designed for members in grantmaking or grantmaking-adjacent roles, e.g., grants management, finance, etc.
Intended Outcomes
Each hour-long session is co-facilitated by your grantmaking peers, who are eager to support peer-to-peer learning on equity-centered philanthropic practice. Co-facilitators will initiate the session by sharing their experiences and reflections. The remainder of the session will be space for open conversations with the full group. Examples of topics include, but are not limited to:
- Approaching your role as a grantmaker with greater power awareness
- Embedding trust and partnership into the way you approach your work
- Building accountability practices
2024 - 2025 Schedule
We aim to set a cadence of 3-4 virtual sessions annually. The first three sessions will learn more about each upcoming session and register here:
- Wednesday, June 26 - 12:00 PM (series launch) – Providing multi-year general support, non-monetary support, full costs of project grants
- Wednesday, October 30 - 12:00 PM – Collaborating with other funders
- Wednesday, February 5, 2025 - 12:00 PM – Listening as a grantmaking practice
