The Foundation Administrators Network (FAN) is a Philanthropy New York professional peer network of HR and operations professionals at member grantmaking organizations. FAN hosts quarterly meetings on a broad range of topics relevant to HR and operations administration.
A key program director is accused of sexual harassment. A building manager is accused of making racially offensive comments. These sort of accusations can create legal liabilities for an organization, create unease in the donor community and tarnish the reputation of the entity. A swift response is usually required but what kind of response should it be?
This program will examine the range of options - whether to launch a formal investigation, whether to involve an outside investigator, and whether to issue a written report.
Explore
- Practical questions of how to protect the parties involved and minimize the entity’s legal and reputational risk, with a particular focus on some of the difficult “grey areas”
- Why complaints may be increasing and what are the proactive steps an entity can take to address the new norms for a healthy workplace
