Have you ever wondered what would happen if an unexpected event occurred at your organization and you needed to communicate with the press, your board and your staff?

Given that most of us have business continuity plans (thanks to Hurricane Sandy), this Foundation Administrators Network (FAN) session will focus on communications not just in natural disasters but other events that may shine a spotlight on your organization.

Jonathan Cohen from Cohen Strategic Communications will speak at this meeting. Jonathan has over 25 years of experience and will discuss how your organization should consider the potential issues that could arise. He will also provide us with tips on how to create a communications plan.

The main takeaways you will leave with:

  • Some scenarios your organization needs to think about
  • Structure for a communications plan (who, what, why, where...)
  • Discussion points for your board and executives
