Please join us for a robust discussion on the current state of youth development networks through the lens of honoring the incredible legacy of the late Janet Kelley, Co-founder of Partnership for Afterschool Education (PASE). Our speakers will discuss the attributes of successful networks, how networks can bring together stakeholders to create lasting impact, and weave throughout the incredible role Janet Kelley played in building and strengthening them. A reception in honor of Janet Kelley will follow the session.
On a related note, we will also have available copies of the recent paper From Stumbling Blocks to Building Blocks: A History of Afterschool in NYC, written by Jane Quinn and Sister Paulette LoMonaco, visiting Fellows at the Pinkerton Foundation. The paper honors the history of after-school programming in New York City, primarily focusing on in-school support. Together, the paper and the program will provide funders a comprehensive overview of in-school and community-based after-school programming in the City.
