Did you know that Generation Y (also known as Millennials: people born between 1980-2000) would rather write an email or get a text than talk on the phone? Most did not learn cursive writing in school and most do not have cable TV?
This generation is very different from the other generations that came before them. At this Foundation Administrators Network (FAN) session, we will discuss what motivates Millennials, what they are looking for from their job and how we can integrate this generation into our intergenerational work places. We will begin the session with a presentation about the research on this generation and their expectations and preferences. We will then discuss specific topics as a group, where we can share our tips for the workplace lead by some network members who will share their experiences.
If you have any particular questions or have any tips you want to share with group please email Nick (ncollins@philanthropynewyork.org) so we can makes sure it is addressed.
Designed for
Members of FAN, as well as prospective FAN members who have a responsibility for foundation administration, including human resources and operations.
