Spring Forward
A Message from the President of Philanthropy New York, Ronna Brown
Dear Colleagues:
Never mind the current thundersnow, this weekend we turn our clocks forward bringing us one step closer to spring and making it the perfect time to announce PNY’s biggest event of the year.
I am thrilled to ask you all to save the date for Philanthropy New York’s 39th Annual Meeting on June 4th, 2018 at the Paley Center for Media (1-6 pm). We are in full production mode for this year’s program, “Democracy, Demographics & Destiny: All in the Details” and will be rolling out more information about the day in the upcoming weeks.
As the title suggests, our 39th Annual meeting will build on last year’s Annual Meeting “The Power of Participation”. Equally importantly, PNY’s annual meeting is one of those all too rare opportunities when funders from a wide array of grantmaking organizations can all come together in one room to connect, learn, and celebrate together.
It is a moment to hear voices from across the field of civic participation and democracy throughout the panel discussions and to be inspired by PNY's signature “PHIL Talks” – a set of rapid-fire presentations by fascinating leaders. And it is a wonderful occasion to catch up with fellow members.
Across the calendar year Philanthropy New York offers over 200 programs that provide our members a time and place to connect around specific issues or connect with those engaged in similar jobs. The annual meeting is the single event that is for all members at the same time.
So, don’t forget to change your clocks this Sunday and to mark your calendars now for June 4th. We hope that you can join us!
Best regards,
Ronna
