George E. Thibault, M.D., President of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation, talks about the importance of interprofessional education—when students from different health care professions learn together during their training in order to build teamwork and collaboration—and his foundation's joint project with the John A. Hartford Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to create a national center dedicated to its practice.
