The recently created New York State Ready Commission has been tasked with finding ways to ensure that critical systems and services are prepared for future natural disasters and emergencies. We’re pleased to have Dr. Irwin Redlener, Director of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and Co-Chair of the NYS Ready Commission, discuss the topics that came up as the Commission prepared its first recommendations.
