Strategic volunteerism is a critical component of how corporations harness the time and talent of employees at all levels to support nonprofit partners and meet community needs. The Service for Impact working group, rooted in the principles of Reimagining Service, provides a unique opportunity for both corporate grantmakers and corporate volunteer managers to foster a peer network, share successes and challenges, brainstorm on solutions, and explore new opportunities to make a difference in society while supporting business objectives through volunteerism.

The focus of this year’s meetings is uncovering new and stronger proof of business impact of employee volunteer programs that meet community needs, thus moving the employee volunteer programs from a nice to have to a need to have for internal stakeholders.

While the first meeting was focused on uncovering examples of how employee volunteerism can serve true community needs and solve business challenges, the second meeting focused on engaging employees in virtual volunteer opportunities during this current pandemic.

For our third session, participate in a feedback session on the value and impact of corporate volunteering. We will cover various ways to connect corporate volunteering to social and business impact. You will type your feedback while we present the feedback topics and also have the chance to ask questions and discuss.

This is the extra session added to the three-part roundtable series “Service for Impact”, which gives corporate grantmakers and volunteer leaders the chance to foster a peer network and explore ways to make a difference in society while supporting business objectives through corporate volunteerism. The 2019-2020 year of Service for Impact will result in a publication released later in 2020.
