Convening is part art, part science. The “art” is having a strong sense of purpose and what you will and won’t focus on. The “science” is being thoughtful about the details, so that the design supports your capacity to achieve your convening’s purpose. Join us for this program where we’ll explore the nuts and bolts of effective convenings. In it we will discuss the major design components articulated in the Gather guide, as well as get and share advice about how to navigate trickier aspects of design (such as – how to get the right people in the room?). Join us for a workshop and bring your questions. Come prepared to share your own experiences of what worked well and perhaps not so well.
