This in-person convening of the New York City Workforce Funders will be produced in partnership with the New York City Employment and Training Coalition and will build on the collaborative’s March 2024 session on strategies to help immigrants, migrants, asylum-seekers, and refugees connect to the workforce.

The convening will bring together leaders from nonprofit organizations, city, and state government, and workforce development intermediaries to lift up promising industry-specific training models and examine the systemic challenges that compromise the workforce sector’s ability to prepare new New Yorkers for employment.

What will you learn?

  • Strategies to improve and expedite access to good jobs and fair wages
  • Updates on the city budget and the priorities of the New York City Council’s New Arrivals Strategy Team
  • Insights from industry-specific training providers and their industry partners
