This program is being offered as part of the Philanthropic Assistants and Coordinators Network (PACNET).
Join your peers in the Philanthropic Assistants and Coordinators Network for our December Meeting focused on how to ask for and receive feedback.
Clear and actionable feedback can be a real gift at work. But what happens when you aren’t receiving regular feedback on your work? Or when you’re receiving feedback but it’s not as helpful as you’d like it to be? This session will cover strategies that you can use to make sure that you’re soliciting useful information about your performance, receiving it as effectively as possible and then proactively using it to push your own learning and growth.
This session will be facilitated by Jen Chau Fontán who is a coach and woman of color with 20 years of experience in management and building talent functions from the ground up at various nonprofits. Jen has created systems for equitable practices in recruitment, hiring, performance management and staff development. She has also built healthy and engaging organizational cultures and internal programs around equity and inclusion. Jen continues to focus on building capacity in individuals through her independent coaching practice at JCF Coaching as well as serving as a coach in residence to leaders in the progressive sector at The Management Center. Jen received her BA in Women’s Studies at Wellesley College and her MS in Organizational Change Management from Milano, The New School for Management and Urban Policy. She lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
